Function of the Position:

The Specialist/Senior Specialist, Financial Planning is a full-time, professional role providing a range of financial support to the growth and effective management of the DAI.

The Specialist, Financial Planning will support the company’s accounting compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) accounting rules and is responsible for the monitoring of our cost accounting and structures and various other compliance related cost functions and supporting Corporate indirect expense management and reporting, to include global monthly financial reporting, annual budget and periodic forecasting processes. The role requires the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, extreme attention to detail, clear communication skills and consistently accurate, high quality financial analyses.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties in support of Month End close Process to include review/reconciliation of projects/accounts to ensure cost accuracy.

  • Coordinate with the Accounting team to ensure a timely close process and timely allocation of indirect costs.

  • Maintain indirect cost projects.

  • Support the corporate indirect expense budgets to include review of actual performance vs budget and forecast

  • Assist with the Company’s annual budget and periodic forecast processes

  • Support DAI’s Iirect cost management processes to include preparation of annual NICRA rates proposal and Incurred Cost Submission (ICS).

  • Assist in management of Disclosure Statements (DS) and cost audits

  • Support/Update the company’s Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Disclosure Statement

  • Document and facilitate application of FAR compliance-related internal policies and procedures

  • Participate in modeling of potential impacts for future cost structure

  • Perform periodical or ad hoc financial data analysis, queries, reconciliations and reports as needed from DAI’s senior management or to satisfy external client or audit requests;

  • Assistance in systems establishment and maintenance of new organizations, new department, business units, or projects.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 5: Minimum of 4 years of relevantof relevant professional experience and a college degree. Equivalent.Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and certification will be considered.

  • Grade P6: Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience and a college degree. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  • Experience in government contracting in a financial and/or compliance area.

  • Prior experience with Incurred Cost submissions.

  • Strong understanding of the FAR and CAS and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  • Familiarity with US Government Cost Accounting.

  • Experience with financial modeling.

  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

  • Experience in oral and written communication including analysis, report preparation and report presentation.

  • Proven ability to be flexible and work well under pressure, both individually and in a team environment, to meet deadline.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc).

  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits:

P5: For employees working in the United States, the full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $89.689 to $114,451.

P6: For employees working in the United States, the full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $103,143 to $131,577.

Salary for part-time employees will be prorated based on actual hours worked. Actual offers will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant education, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Eligible U.S. based employees, will be able to enroll in medical, dental and vision insurance, plus a 401(k)-retirement plan with a company match. Additionally, employees will be eligible for company-paid annual leave (vacation & holidays), sick leave, parental leave; as well as short- and long-term disability coverage. Detailed information will be provided at the time a formal offer is extended.

For employees working outside of the United States, compensation and benefits will vary based on location.
