For secondary summer school the following positions are still available:

1.0 Writing Grade 7/ELA certification required

1.0 Math Grade 8/Math 7-12 certification required

2.0 ELA Grade 8/ELA certification required

1.0 Special Education Consultant teacher/secondary dual certification preferred

Secondary Summer School Teachers

All posted positions are anticipated for the Summer 2024 Session. All positions are subject to Board of Education action, voter approval of budget items, and sufficient student registration.

If you are the successful candidate for a Summer School position you agree to be available to teach every day.

Days:

25 Days: Monday through Thursday, and select Fridays

Dates:

Middle School:

Monday, July 8- Thursday, August 15th and Friday, July 12

High School:

Monday, July 15 - Wednesday, August 21st and

Friday, July 19 and 26

Times:

Middle School: 8:00 am-12:16 pm

High School:

Block 1: 8:00-10:03 am and/or Block 2: 10:13 am-12:16 pm

Salary: Per KTA Contract, 9.4.1, and Appendix B-3

Duties:

Teaching designated coursework, based on assignments and curriculum; progress reporting.

Important Notes:

NYS Regents exam will be administered during the Summer 2024 program at the High School.

Qualified applicants must hold NYS certification in the subject they wish to teach.

Preference is given to KenTon teachers who have previously taught Secondary Summer School, according to contract language, 8.2.1.
