A day in the life

As a Software Development Engineer for Recruiting Engine Exploration team, you will join a team of development engineers and scientists to innovate for our customers, who are candidates of Amazon jobs and our recruiting teams around the world.

You will innovate with a wide range of technologies, programming languages and systems, to deliver innovative product solutions. You will have the freedom and encouragement to explore your own ideas and the reward of seeing your contributions benefit millions of customers worldwide.

About the team

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Edinburgh, MLN, GBR

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience (non-internship) in professional software development

  • 3+ years experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
