UCLA Health Administrative Director in Los Angeles, California
Description
As
the Administrative Director, you'll play a pivotal role at the Simms Mann
Center for Integrative Oncology, reporting to the Center Director. Your responsibilities
include leading strategic planning, overseeing administrative and operational
functions, including finance, donor relations, and facilities management.
Collaborating closely with the Center Director, you'll shape operating
policies, ensure efficient service delivery across clinics, and represent the
Center to academic and donor communities.
You'll
support leadership meetings, present on strategic and financial matters, and
manage stakeholder requests. Additionally, you'll partner with UCLA Health
System finance for budgeting and reporting, coordinate donor efforts, and
oversee digital communication channels. Your role also extends to program
development, educational initiatives, and community outreach.
Working
alongside the Center Director, you'll collaborate on future branding and
expansion efforts, promote the Center within UCLA and beyond, and foster
relationships with donors and stakeholders. You'll serve as a liaison for
various campus departments and embody a culture of professionalism, inclusion,
and collaboration.
The
University of California, Los Angeles is required to provide a reasonable
estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account
the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions
including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities,
education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational
needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near
the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on
final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this
position is: $71,500.00 - $154,900.00
Qualifications
Required:
Demonstrated ability to manage a complex organization with multiple goals.
Demonstrated ability to manage an office and associated programs on a day-to-day basis.
Skill in developing, implement and administering operational plans and administrative procedures.
Demonstrated ability to develop budgets, financial planning and analysis, skill in preparing accurate financial reports and statements.
Skill and ability to develop job descriptions and other human resource -related documents.
Demonstrated ability to write patient/public communications, analytical and administrative reports, policies/procedures, correspondence and other documents, that are clear, concise and appropriate and to oversee their production and distribution. Demonstrated ability in financial budgeting using Excel, UCLA ledgers, including creation and analysis of financial data and projections. Skill and ability in developing, planning, implementing, and evaluation of Center events, including but not limited to lectures, donor events, fundraising events.
Ability to interact compassionately and professionally with cancer patients (within appropriate limits and boundaries) and their families.
Ability to work evenings and weekends for Center's program activities and events.
Working knowledge of policies and procedures related to administration, business finances, HIPAA/CiCare, etc. in a university medical settings, preferably knowledge of UCLA Medical Center.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, train and supervise staff, including work-study and volunteers.
