Position Responsibilities The principal job duty is to complete a summer project relevant to activities of the Midwest Analytics and Disease Modeling Center (MADMC) in collaboration with staff at the Minnesota Department of Health. Job Duties Assist with geospatial analysis and visualization of infectious disease health outcomes and/or uptake of infectious disease health care services, such as vaccination - 45% Integrate decision support capabilities into a geospatial data dashboard tailored to Minnesota Department of Health users - 45% Engage in other MADMC-relevant pandemic preparedness activities in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Health - 10% Qualifications Please be sure to list all the required qualifications in your application materials. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of coursework and/or professional experience with infectious disease modeling and/or analytics. Experience with infectious disease modeling and/or analytics. Proficiency in computer programming in R (preferred) or other languages. Demonstrated excellence in written, virtual, and in-person communication. Ability to work effectively with individuals (students, colleagues, community members) from diverse communities and cultures. Coursework in statistics, decision analysis, data science, computer science and/or applied mathematics.
