HARBORVIEW’S INTERPRETER SERVICES Department has an outstanding opportunity for an INTERPRETER SERVICES COORDINATOR WORK SCHEDULE

• 40 hours per week

• Day Shift DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Harborview’s Interpreter Services Department provides oral, written and sight translation services to their patients. Ensuring that all patients have access to healthcare.

  PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in a call center as the first point of contact for the department

• Create daily schedules for staff interpreters and coordinate requests for agency, telephonic and video interpreters

• Respond to same day requests for in-person interpreters and the immediate dispatching of interpreters

• Independently advise staff, contracted clients, and others regarding program content, policies, procedures, and activities, and select and recommend courses of action

• Communicate clearly and calmly in demanding situations

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights.

• Maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, or other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic or verbal form REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in a healthcare or administrative role

• equivalent education/experience.
